ALBRIGHTON & DISTRICT CIVIC SOCIETY (ADCS)

(Albrighton, Boningale, Donington-with-Boscobel and Tong)

Civic Society Main Aim:
To improve the appearance of our villages and the quality of life within them.

Progress Report: Albrighton Station Pedestrian Access Ramp
The Ramp Team continues discussions with Network Rail seeking a definite date when bridge works will take place (this had originally been planned for 2013 but that didn’t happen and NR now indicate summer 2016 and so it is important that a fixed timetable is in place) and is also expecting to receive Shropshire Council’s updated drawing of the proposed new footpath in Station Road (to be built immediately after the bridge works are complete).
(The “Ramp Team” was formed to liaise with the other parties and is made up of representatives of the Parish Councils and the Civic Society)

Planters in the High Street
We would like to thank all those including Lorraine Moore, Mike & Chris Pitchford who have re-stocked the planters which make such a colourful display and the staff of Walter Smith Butchers, Cartwrights Greengrocers & Florists and Mr & Mrs Garvey for watering and tending them so that they are in such good condition.

We are holding our next PUBLIC MEETING (& AGM)
at the Red House at 7pm on Monday 12th October
so please put this in your diary and come to hear updates and support us.
All are welcome.
